Emily Wing, LICSW
2) What does your business do?
I provide individual psychotherapy (I help those who might be struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, postpartum mood disorders, trauma, parenting struggles and everyday stress)and reiki, which is energy healing which can help to reduce anxiety, decrease inflammation in the body, triggers the body’s relaxation response, increases positive energy and reduces stress, which aids the immune system in fighting illness.)
3) How many years have you been in business?
I’ve been a mental health therapist since 2009, in private practice since 2012 and I’ve been a reiki practitioner for a little over a year.
4) Why did you choose your location?
Office space was available and it’s close to home for me.
5) What motivates you?
I really love helping and connecting with people and love the work that I do, so it feels rewarding which then motivates me to keep doing what I’m doing.
6) What makes your business unique and stand out from other businesses in your industry?
I offer reiki and also provide additional types of services such as workshops and groups.
7) Do you have any advice for new business owners?
Marketing is key and being open and willing to volunteer some of your time for free can help others get to know more about you and your business as well as put a face to a name.
